In my kitchen - In meiner Küche

Just another view in our kitchen. There is still a lot of work to do! In the first picture you see my beautiful fridge - a dream came true and I finally get my cream-colored smeg! At the second picture you can see our buffet, it is an old one and years ago it belonged to my husbands´s grandparents. I think they would be deeple touched if they would know that now their old buffet stands in our new house in the kitchen.

Stil one more thing not depending my kitchen. I would like to recommend you two blogs from a lovely person, her name is Mina. The blogs are "rainy day and a cup of coffee" and "Mina´s home". The first one is about her old pictures and interpretations about the thoughts of the shown people and the second blog is her personal site with pictures of her home and her little gorgeous doggy (a boston terrier) go and gather your own impressions....

Ein weiterer Einblick in unsere Küche. Wir haben hier noch einiges zu tun! Auf dem ersten Bild seht Ihr meinen wunderbaren Kühlschrank - mein Traum ist wahr geworden und ich habe endlich meinen cremefarbenen smeg bekommen. Auf dem zweiten Foto seht Ihr das alte Buffet, das in unserer Küche steht. Es gehörte früher den Großeltern meines Mannes. Ich glaube sie wären sehr gerührt, wenn sie wüssten, dass Ihr altes Buffet jetzt bei uns im neuen Haus in der Küche steht. Unabhängig von meiner Küche möchte ich Euch noch auf zwei Blogs einer sehr netten Person aufmerksam machen. Einmal "rainy day and a cup of coffee" und "Mina´s home". Im ersten Blog zeigt Sie uns toll bearbeitete alte Portraits und ihre Interpretation der Gedanken dieser Menschen... und im zweiten Blog geht es um sie und ihr zu Hause sowie ihr entzückendes Hündchen (ein Boston Terrier) seht selbst....

She´s my favorit one - Sie ist mir die Liebste

Mein Profilbild habe ich für Euch groß eingestellt. Das ist meine Liebste Madonnenfigur. Hier habe ich noch Josef mit Jesuskind auf dem Arm passend dazu. So habe ich an Weihnachten die ganze Heilige Familie beisammen, obwohl Sie eigentlich das ganze Jahr auf dem Halbschrank im Wohnzimmer stehen.... :0)

Just for you the picture from my profile in a bigger view. This is my favorit Madonna statue. I also have Josef with little Jesus in his arms. So at Christmas the holy family stands together althougt they stand on the commode all the year round... :0)

Selfmade "Sachet Lavande" - selbst gemacht !

Diese Sachets habe ich selbst gemacht. Das sind meine selbstgeschossenen Fotos, gedruckt auf schönem cremefarbenem Papier. Danach habe ich sie zu Umschlägen gefaltet und diese mit provenzalischem Lavendel gefüllt. Sie duften herrlich, besser als jedes künstlich beduftete Sachets.

I have made some sachet lavande. I printed some of my favorit selfmade photographs on creamcoloured paper. Than I folded them like envelopes and filled them with provencal lavender. They smell wonderful, much better than artificial flavoured sachets.

Mirror mirror on the wall... / Spieglein Spieglein an der Wand...

Dieser wunderschöne alte Spiegel hängt bei mir im Wohnzimmer. Ich liebe sein blindes Glas und die Risse im Rahmen. Oftmals stecke ich Postkarten, die ich von meiner lieben Freundin bekomme in den Rahmen, diese erinnern mich immer daran das sie meine Seelenverwandte ist...

This wonderful old mirror hangs in my living-room. I love it´s blind glass and the fissures in the frame. I often stick postcards from my dear friend in the frame, this reminds me everyday that she is my soulmate... (for you Bianca...)

Our Kitchentable - Unser Küchentisch

Diesen wunderschönen alten Küchentisch habe ich sehr sehr günstig bekommen, es hat lang gedauert bis das graue Etwas ein schöner Schwan wurde. Stunden habe ich geschrubbt und gewienert. Nun ist dieser Tisch einfach nicht mehr aus unserer Küche weg zu denken. Ich finde Ihn einfach traumhaft. Ich verstehe einfach nicht, wie die Menschen sowas Jahre lang in dunklen Kellern stehen lassen. Aber das ist ja für uns, die wir diese alten Möbel lieben nur von Vorteil... Den Tisch habe ich mit wunderschönen alten und neuen Schätzen dekoriert!

This beautiful old table was a real bargain! It was a lot of hard work till the grey something turnd into a graceful swan. Hours and hours I scrubed this table and we can´t imagin our kitchen without it´s beauty. I can´t understand that people hide such beautiful old furniture for years in dark and cold cellars or attics. But for people like us, this is a great fortune.... I decorated the table with various old and new treasures!

In my Bathroom - In meinem Bad

In der Ecke neben der freistehenden Badewanne habe ich ein wenig dekoriert, damit das Bad wohnlich und gemütlich wirkt, aber seinen puristischen Charme trotzdem behält. Das Regal war vormals dunkelbraun und ich habe es gestrichen und aufwendig mit Farbabplatzern versehen. In einem alten französichen Eierkorb finden sich wohlriechende Seifenstücke. Ein geweißter Rebenkranz und weiße Blüten dienen als natürlicher Blickfang. Loccitane darf natürlich nicht fehlen.....

In the corner beside the freestanding bathtube I placed some decorativ elements, so the bath looks homely and cozy, but keeping it´s puristic charm. The shelf was dark brown and I painted it ivory and furnished it with chips and scraches. The french fil de fer eggbasket I filled with various aromatic herbsoaps. A white vine-wreath and some small white blooms act as a nature eyecatcher. Not to miss some Loccitane...

Fragility - Zerbrechlichkeit

Zarte, zerbrechliche Ranunkeln in eiem Keramikkrug... so zart, ich liebe weiße Ranunkeln!!!

Delicate, fragile white ranunculus in a ceramic jug.... very delicate, I love white ranunculus!!!

Gentle paleness - Vornehme Blässe

Hier ein kleines Arrangement. Immer wenn ich frische Blumen zu Hause habe, kommen diese in eine meiner Kannen und werden auf diesem Stuhl vor unterschiedlichen Schränken bzw. Hintergründen in Szene gesetzt. So halte ich Ihre schönheit im Bild fest, leider sind sie einfach viel zu vergänglich.

Here a decorativ arrangement. Always when I have fresh flowers at home, I took them in one of my various jugs and place them on this chair in front of different cabinets respectively backgrounds. I think it´s a lovely way to capture their bloom, unfortunately they are too ephemeral.

My dearest things - Meine liebsten Sachen

Eine meiner liebsten Sachen sind alte Heiligenbilchen und Figuren. Diese kaufe ich wo immer ich welche finde und der Preis stimmt. Für mich haben diese alten Schönheiten nicht nur dekorativen Wert.

One of my dearest things are vintage holy cards, pictures and sculptures. These things I buy wherever I find them and the price fits my purse. For me these vintage beauties don´t only have decorativ worth.
