I love making my bears. But there are times I have to work to much and so I can´t find the time to work on my bears. A lot of Collectors would like to have a MiraBär, but I´m not an engine - I have a full-time job working in an office so only a few bears are born per year! Some Collectors are waiting more than a year for their MiraBär. I feel so sorry for that, but that is the reality and I´m not in the position to change that! Can you imagin that I only have one bear made of my own (excluding my first selfmade teddybear).... This only bear I would like to introduce you, this is "Old Salt" a bear I made two years ago! When I was making the last stitch and I looked in his old shoebutton-eyes, for me the decision was clear as water, "Old Salt had to stay! I love my black bears! Indeed the only black "decoration" in our house! Every time a black MiraBär is ready for adoption, my little heart aches and is not willing to let them go...
Ich liebe es meine Bären zu machen. Aber es gibt Zeiten, da habe ich einfach zu viel um die Ohren und finde einfach nicht die Zeit um neue Bären zum Leben zu erwecken. Eine menge Sammler hätte gerne einen MiraBären, aber ich bin nun mal keine Maschine - ich habe einen Full-time Job im Büro, also entstehen nur wenige Bären übers Jahr! Einige Sammler warten bereits über ein Jahr auf Ihren MiraBären, und dies tut mir schrecklich leid, aber ich bin leider nicht in der Lage dies zu ändern! Könnt Ihr euch vorstellen, dass ich selbst nur einen selbstgenähten Bären (abgesehen vom ersten Teddy) zu Hause habe. Diesen Bären möchte ich Euch vorstellen, gestatten, "Old Salt" ihn habe ich vor zwei Jahren gemacht! Als ich den letzten Nadelstich vollbrachte und in seine alten Schuhknopfaugen sah, war die Entscheidung klar, "Old Salt" musste bleiben! Ich liebe meine schwarzen Bären! In der Tat die einzige schwarze "Dekoration" in unserem Haus! Jedes mal wenn ein schwarzer MiraBär das Licht der Welt erblickt und zur adoption bereit ist, schmerzt mein kleines Herz und es ist nicht bereit die kleinen ziehen zu lassen....

Ich kann das gut verstehen, daß dir da dein Herzlein blutet. Und bestimmt warten deine Sammler gern auf so ein Goldstück.

Ich kann deine Sammlerkunden gut verstehen Mira, dass sie voll Ungeduld auf weitere Mira-Bären warten, wenn man diesen liebenswerten Kerl sieht, dann möchte man nämlich mehr aus seiner Familie...

Actually, that's no wonder. I'm sure you've put hours of work, careful consideration and bits of your heart into each bear. Do you take any consolation in the fact that all of the adoptive families will surely take excellent tender loving care of the little ones? :-)

Ja, das ist mehr als verständlich. Ein Blick in sein Gesicht und wir haben uns auch sofort in ihn verliebt! Er hat den Charme vergangener Zeiten. Bis jetzt haben wir noch keinen schwarzen Bären gesehen, der auf Anhieb so 'mit uns sprach'...

I love the bear, and not being a collector, I would glady stand in line as well. Handmade items are the most beloved and cherished of all. I can imagine it to be hard to let them each go after all the time and love that is spent with each one. If they were mass produced, they wouldn't be as special!! The darling one in the picture has the cutest face...
